These pictures are out of order...but that is OK, you will still be able to get what is going on. Makenzie Lynette Archer was born this morning at 7:57 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and is 20 inches long. She is adorable, and her big sister Madison thinks she is the greatest!

Here is Madison holding her little sister for the first time. She sang her a song (I am a Child of God), and then began to give her kisses! What a great big sister!

Here is Maddie looking at sister through the nursery window. She was so excited to see her, but kept telling me, "But I want to hold her!" You can see Dave through the window. Greg and I got a kick out of watching him. He didn't hardly leave her side. We were joking that maybe he was nervous they were going to pull a switch on him. I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to steal her, she is so beautiful!

Maddie was so excited to get to the hospital, but on the way there, she fell asleep. I guess sleeping in Grandma and Grandpa's bed the night before was too exhausting! We couldn't get her to wake up for a while, which ended up being a blessing, because it was a while before we could get in to see Kris and Makenzie. Anyway, I thought she looked so sweet and little laying here, until we saw her with Makenzie, and then she looked huge!

Here is another picture of Maddie holding "Baby Kenzie".

Here is the proud Grandpa!

We love her already and we haven't even seen her! Lucky ducks.
I have always said that the moms miss out on the best thing...seeing the PROUD daddy with the new baby. WE are always in recovery. Maddi looks so cute with her.
Thanks for posting all the pictures. What a special day!
Maddie makes a cute big sister!
Kris and I were at a church basketball game the other day. We were discussing how big Maddie was getting. I told her, "Just wait until the new baby is born, Maddie will look huge". It's funny how it seems they just grow up over night.
She is beautiful. Congratulations to the family. Aren't grandkids just the best? Paulette and Steve
