Last Saturday, Greg and the boys took the two kittens we hadn't given away yet down to Kent's grocery store with a sign that read, "Free Kittens" while I did the grocery shopping. Believe it or not, they had the two gone before I was finished....now if we can only be that lucky in a few weeks when the other 6 are old enough to give away. I have been teasing that I qualify to be the crazy cat lady since we had our two cats and 9 kittens at one time! Crazy! This last Tuesday we took Snowball in to the vet to have her fixed so she won't be having any more kittens....the boys are kind of sad over it, but we are not a pet store! This past week city baseball started. Kaden claimed he wouldn't play unless Greg coached the team, so he caved in and is coaching another team. We went ahead and put Tyson on that team too and they had their first game on Wednesday. They both played really well and their team won. We will have to get some pictures soon to post. Thursday was my last night of my night class for the summer! Yeah! Friday was the last day of elementary school for us. The fifth grade at North Park played the teachers in a game of softball. Here is a picture of Kaden playing....I am not sure who he had given the camera to that took the picture. The boys were each given the camera for a day to take some pictures with them and their teachers, and neither one came through with the requested shots! Here is Tyson and a friend. Most of the shots they took were either blurry or they were not in them....so I guess it helps make a shorter post. After school on Friday, Kaden had told us he had invited some kids over to play night games. Well, he had invited people over at 6:00 and they stayed until close to 11. We are going to have to have a conversation next time to make sure we are on the same page. Because kids were here so early, Greg started a fire out on the deck and the kids all roasted hot dogs and made s'mores. Kaden got into the Halloween box in the garage and was trying to scare everyone. Saturday morning, we got up and cleaned house. Then Greg and Tyson took off to Ogden where Tyson had two games (they won one and lost one), and Kaden and I picked up Madison and we drove to Layton to Kortlan's baptism. Dave, Kris and Kenzie met us there. It was great to be at the baptism and even more fun to hang out afterward with family and visit. When we got home, we got the lawn mowed and ready for Sunday. This afternoon after church, Tyson invited his friend, Bryson Nelson over to play. It has been bugging Tyson that some of his friends could do front flips on the trampoline and he couldn't. Well, these two worked for a long time until they could do front flips and land them almost every time. They were both drenched in sweat. They are both very determined little boys! A little after 10:00 after Greg ran Bryson home and I had the kitchen cleaned up and we were winding down for the night, Tyson decided he needed to come and start making a mess and something to eat. We told him "no" and offered him a couple of options that would not require making a mess. That started a huge bawling and screaming fit. Sometimes I wonder why it is so dang hard to be a mom! I wasn't going to publish the negative stuff, but then I realized that life is not always easy.....and I don't want him someday thinking he was never naughty!

Apparently people just can't pass up something free! I mean, that's how you got your 2nd cat remember?!!! Oh and don't worry, I doubt Tys will ever forget he was naughty at times, he has too many older siblings and in-laws to remind him!

Getting a picture of Kayden's picture would have been kind of hard. Believe me...she's not very cooperative unless she is PAYING for the pictures :)

Enjoy your summer vacation!!

I love that you think he might forget... I don't think so!
