Scout Camp June 26-July 2 2011

Greg and Kaden both went to scout camp for a week together this year at Camp Bartlett between Preston and Montpelier, Idaho. From the pictures, it looks like a really pretty place. They left early Monday morning, June 27 and returned Saturday, July 2. The first thing they had to do when getting to camp was pass a swim test if the boys wanted to participate in any water activities during the week. Early mornings up in the mountain make for an extremely cold lake. Kaden, Brantzen, Jake and Mitch getting ready for the swim check. This is when Kaden did his swim check, the water was really cold and he couldn't breath while he was doing it, but he did it.
Troop 436 before the swim check. All smiles.
The view from our camp.
Kaden and his troop got to shoot bows and arrows. He didn't do very well the first time, but the second time he got a bulls eye.
Kaden's Bulls eye!!
Grandpa Kolsen taught Kaden well. He was fine fishing, but when the fish got in that was another story.
Kaden caught and had to gut his own fish. He wasn't too excited about it. He did cook and eat it though.
Mason Hulce wrapping Kaden up like a Ninja.
Playing rock, paper, scissors as a huge group. It was really fun.
Kaden and his troop playing tug-o-war.
Rope pulling wars.
Kaden, Brother Peavler and Brantzen Noble making dinner for the troop.
Kaden and Greg on the last day. Yeah!!! (Fear the 6 day beard, by the way!!!)
