Greg with his dad's sister, Patricia Stubsten, from Everett, Wa.
Our family with Pat, notice Tyson trying to be taller.
Most of the day today (June 24) we spent in Everett, Washington. We got up this morning and met at Greg's Aunt Pat's home. She was very gracious and kind to us. The boys and I stayed for about an hour, and then they began to restless. So while Greg found out information about his family, and scanned photos, we headed back to the hotel to go swimming. Well, that didn't work out so well. The pool heater was broken (outside pool), so they hadn't cleaned the pool for awhile either. They sent us across town to an LA Fitness Club that they said their guests could use. Well, we found the Club, but the manager informed us that people under the age of 17 were not allowed in their pool. That kind of stunk! So, we headed back to the hotel, the boys changed back into regular clothes, and then we went and found them Mariner hats to take to the game tonight. They already had Padre jerseys from Greg's store, so this way we were prepared for whoever won! We went back to Pat's house for lunch, and her son, Doug, came over from work and had lunch with us. It was nice to meet him and to visit some more. Greg videoed Pat and got quite a bit of good information about his family.
Us at our seats before the Mariners' game.
Tyson showing off the foul ball hit by Ken Griffey Jr.
Ichiro was our buddy, he was only 30 yards from us!
We headed for Seattle this evening for the Mariner vs. the Padre's game. We had incredibly good seats, right on the front row down the first base side. If I would have known what Greg was going to pay for tickets, we would not have had such great seats! During the game, we had a "ball girl" who was sitting in front of us on the field. The couple who was sitting next to us informed us that if you talked to the ball girl first and requested, she would give you the ball if she got one. Tyson called out to her as soon as she came over to get ready for the game. Well, when Ken Griffey Jr. was up to bat in the second inning, he hit a ball foul along the first base side. The girl got the ball, and brought it over to Tyson. He was in heaven! The game was exciting, with it tied 3-3 for most of the game. In the 8th inning the Mariners took the lead by one with a home run. Tomorrow morning we take off to Portland. When we got back to the hotel tonight and had the boys in bed, we turned on the TV. They were showing the game, and we watched the foul ball, and saw the ball girl giving the ball to Tyson! It was so fun to see our family on TV!!!
