End of February- First of March

It has been a busy few weeks.  Kaden had lots of things going on for the end of the trimester and for spring.  He had a piano recital that he did amazing at.  Grandma and Grandpa Kolsen, Kris and her three girls, along with Tyson, Greg and I all attended.  Kaden is very talented.  I also had to play a duet with him again this year which makes me feel ill doing.  But Kaden is a good sport about it and gets us through.  Kaden also had a band concert.  Jayson and Kassi were able to come and support him at this.  It is fun to see how much progress the band makes each year.  Kaden also had a night where his drama class put on some skits.  They were kind of funny.  They just got a new drama teacher after a bunch of drama (ha! ha!) with the old drama teacher losing his job, another teacher quitting after only two days, and now this new one.  So, as you can tell, Kaden has been busy.

Greg was recently released from the bishopric of our ward.  I think he is relieved, but also kind of sad.  It has been five years, so it is time for a new bishopric.  The very next week after being released, the primary called and had Greg substitute the sunbeams!  That made me giggle!  This next week he has to sub the high priest group......I am not sure if that is opposite ends of the spectrum....or if they will be more alike than I realize!
For Christmas this year, some neighbors gave us a bulb in a starting kit for this amaryllis.  It has been fun to watch it grow.  It gives me hope there might be a spring this year after all.

This past weekend, Tyson and Greg headed to St. George for Friday and Saturday. We didn't have school since it was a teacher prep day between trimesters.   The Sidewinders had some practice games lined up to play.  Tyson still hasn't been cleared from the doctor to play ball yet, but as you can see, his dad is more lenient than me!  Kaden and I headed to Pocatello to check on Ryan.  He has been having some back problems.  I feel bad he decided to inherit that trait from his dad!  We had fun hanging out with my parents, Ryan, Kristen and the three kids.  I left and came home Friday night to a wedding reception, while Kaden stayed overnight.  The next morning, I got up, cleaned house, shampooed carpets, washed my car, went to a basketball game for three of my students, then ran to Sandy to a shower Kris gave her sister-in-law Heather, then went back to Pocatello, visited  Grandma Kaye in the nursing home, and went and watched Carter's basketball game.  It was crazy!  Kaden and I got home about 9:00 on Saturday, and I am sure Greg was wondering why I was so tired!    It was a productive weekend- just wish it could have been longer!!
