Madson Reunion 2012 Park City

The family all headed up to Park City on July 5th.  We rented a four bedroom four bathroom condo at the Miner's Club at the Canyons.  It was fun to have everyone staying together but still have their own space.  Tyson also happened to have a baseball tournament up there.  The first day, Thursday the 5th was kind of cold and rainy.  Luckily the weather cleared up and was really warm the rest of the weekend.  Each of the kids took a night cooking for all of us.  The food was yummy, the games were fun, and it was great just being together.  The condo had a beautiful pool and hot tub, game room, and theater room.  We all headed up to the Olympic Park and rode the Alpine Slide.  Some also rode a zip line.  It was tons of fun.  There were some athletes up there that were skiing and landing in a pool of water.  It was pretty impressive.  I will post more pictures when I get them from Kris and Kristen.  I know they got some that I didn't.  Kaden put together a "Silent Library" game that was hilarious that I know Kris got pictures of.

I sure do love this man!

Ryan and Carter headed up to the top of the slide.
Dave and Madison (Greg and I had Kenzie with us).

The zip line.

This picture was taken of all of us that were headed on the Alpine slide for the first run. After we rode it the first time, Kris and Kristen both decided they could ride it (pregnant and all!).

Greg decided he needed to video the ride down...but was going so fast and focusing on the video-taping that he neglected to slow down at the end and about killed himself.

I thought Kenzie would be nervous.  She started screaming immediately as we started down.  I asked her if we should go slower and she kept yelling, "No!  Faster!"

Dave would hold his nose and dunk his head...then Kenzie would hold her nose and barely get her chin under the water.  It was cute!

Ah....loving brothers!

Loving brothers with Ryan getting his face smashed!

Madison's sixth birthday party!

I loved that Kenzie kept telling Maddie that she likes to share!

We spent over six hours at the ball park on Saturday.  Tyson's team ended up taking second in the tournament after three games.  It was a long time at the park, but it was really appreciated that everyone was there cheering Ty on.  This is one of the favorite conversations I overheard on Saturday. I was taking Kenzie, Carter, and Madison to the restrooms and then to play on the playground toys.  I had Kenzie's hand and Carter and Maddie were walking behind me.  Maddie was chattering away.  Carter said, "Maddie, have you ever been told you talk too much?"  Maddie kept up talking and then Carter added, "No, really, it can be annoying."  I was about to turn around to remind about being kind when Maddie responded, "You know.  Heavenly Father made me this way and it is just the way I am supposed to be."  I loved that she knows she is a daughter of God and perfect just how she is!  After the games were over, Carter realized he had lost his Iron Man toy.  He and his mom had been looking for it for quite a while.  They decided they should pray for help.  Right after they found the toy.  Carter made sure and told me that he also said a Thank you prayer.  I have the most wonderful grandchildren ever!  Tyson pitched really well, and also hit a home run over the fence.  As he was running around the bases you should have seen the huge smile on his face as he could see the whole family at the fence cheering him on.  We have the best family I could ask for.
