BR Softball 5-Time State Champs

Thursday night the we all went to Salt Lake to watch Tyson play ball.  (Greg had also been there Wednesday night with Tyson while Kaden and I stayed home for piano and mutual.)  Greg stayed in Salt Lake at Jay and Kassi's and I drove home for school the next day with the boys.  The high school softball team was playing in the state tournament and he needed to cover it for the paper.  It ended up raining really hard Friday morning so they canceled the games until Saturday.  The boys and I got up early Saturday and headed to Salt Lake for Tyson's baseball practice.  After the practice, we met up with Greg and went to the softball games. The Bears won, but because of rain delays, they had to play for championship on Monday afternoon.  Tyson then had a basketball practice.  We met up with Dave and Kris and their house girls for a little while before heading home.  Monday I was debating whether to take the afternoon off to go to the game with Greg, but decided to stay home and teach because Tyson's class had a water-bottle rocket launch.  Greg and Kaden headed to the game.  Spanish Fork (state 4A champions last year) were who the Bears played for championship.  They beat the Bears 16-0 in three innings.  So a second game was needed.  The next game the Bears won 8-0.  Pretty wild.  When the girls came home, Kaden drove me down to Kent's on the four-wheeler and we watched the girls come into town on the fire engine.  This is the first team in the state of Utah to have a 5-Time Repeat Championship.  They made history! Our friends Mishae Nelson,Maddie Schofield, and Taryn Stevenson are all underclassmen on the team.  Pretty exciting tournament for them.
