Thursday October 6th

Well, I wrote about Wednesday night and the Kiwanis dinner. Thursday morning started out with a bang. I had been up all night sick, and Kaden had been sick also. Greg needed to head out early to Preston to work. I finally convinced Kaden to try and go to half a day of school at least. I knew I would need to go in and make lesson plans, and it was the first day of guided reading. I also knew that I was already taking Friday off, so I really needed to be at school. Greg jumped in the car and ran Kaden to school. When he pulled back in at home, Tyson was out in the garage getting something. He yelled to Greg to watch out for the cats. The cats always move out of the way, so Greg didn't worry about it. Well, he ran over our cat Tiger. What was worse was that Tiger was the cat that Tyson picked out, and that he was out there and saw the accident. Tyson came in the house weeping and wailing. I went out to check things out. While I was outside, Tyson grabbed the phone and called Kaden's cell phone. So, the sick child at school was then upset over the cat also. Needless to say, I ended up with a substitute for Thursday. Tyson stayed home for a couple of hours before he could get control. Then, to make matters worse, I decided to hurry and clean house so that I could actually rest comfortably. My boys' rooms were a mess! I cleaned out closets and under beds. I had to clean out the cushions of the coach downstairs and do a ton of laundry. Needless to say, I did not get a nap. During the day I got a call that the four-wheeler Tyson had wrecked was finished. It cost over $2,000. Then, as I was doing laundry, I found out that my machine is not agitating while it washes, so I got to call to have a repairman come next week. Oh, the joy! Needless to say, Thursday was not my favorite!
