Carter's school day- Day two fall break

When Carter first started kindergarten, I had told him that he was attending the same school that I went to when I was a little girl. He was quite surprised, and said maybe I should go to school with him one day. Well, since Utah was having fall break, I decided to go and volunteer in his classroom. He goes all day a couple of times a week. I got to his classroom right as he and his classmates were coming in from lunch recess. It was cute to get to see the big smile on his face. Here is Carter working on a computer. Carter making spider webs with string and paint. Carter and his awesome spider hat he made in the center I got to help with. Greg and the boys also went to Pocatello with me. Greg went and helped his mom for a while. They had to get some prescriptions filled, figure out where she had hidden her purse, get some shopping done, etc. The boys hung out with my mom and dad. I sure appreciate all they do for us. After school, we all hung out for a while. We went out to eat with Ryan and Kristen and then headed home. On the way home, I found out that one of my students in my class, Addilyn Canfield, was hit by a truck while crossing Main Street. Her and her brother, Kaygen, were holding hands in the crosswalk. One car had stopped for them, but a truck coming did not see them and hit her. She was life-flighted to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake. It is times like that that make me realize how incredibly blessed I am. You never know when life might change drastically in an instant.
