Summer is almost here

Last night the plan was for Greg to take Tyson to practice in Salt Lake by himself. But, then we found out a boy that recently moved into our ward was in an accident Thursday evening, and in the Primary Children's Hospital. He and another boy were sitting on the curb by the dollar store in town, when someone leaving the parking lot in a truck went over the cement parking block and ran over the boy. The bishop had other commitments last night, so since Greg was heading to Salt Lake anyway, he said he would go and visit. The boy, Chance Crook, was in my third grade class a few years ago, so Greg asked if I would go with him. He is also the same age as Kaden, and he knows him from school. He had just been taken out of intensive care, and has a broken leg, foot, and his femur is fractured in 6 places, but on the whole he is a very lucky boy. When we were at Tyson's practice, this new banner they are going to take to all the games was unveiled. You can't really see how huge it is, or how impressive it looks in this photo, but it is pretty cool. As you can see, Tyson is in the center of the banner. This week Carter called on the phone to let us know that he can ride his bike without training wheels now. He was so cute on the phone. Kaden is gearing up for his clogging end of the year performance as well as his last band concert for the year. He has also been doing a lot of head husky jobs at his school. We got home last night about 10:30 because of road construction. We had gotten into bed, when Jayson walked in the back door. The washer and dryer were both running, so we hadn't heard the garage door open. Jayson thought it was funny that Greg sprang from the bed and looked quite shocked when the back door opened. Kassi is in St. George on a business trip, and he had come to Tremonton for a meeting for the baseball scholarship committee. It was late, and he was too tired to drive, so he stopped to spend the night. This morning, Tyson and Greg headed back to Salt Lake for another practice. Kaden and I stayed home and cleaned house. When Jayson went to leave, he remembered he hadn't shared some great news. He was recently elected as the president of his class of his pharmacy school. Pretty impressive! When Greg and Tyson got home about noon, we took off to Logan for Tyson to play on the 12 year old Tremonton team. They were short players for their two games this afternoon. It was fun to go over and watch him play, but the weather was sure weird. It got chilly when we first got there, then it rained, then the sun came out and was really warm. We came home, got the lawn taken care of, the car washed, and the grocery shopping done. I wish I had more energy to maybe go on a date tonight with my cute husband....but I am too pooped to party!
