I can't believe how fast this month has flown by....probably because we have been so busy! It always gets hectic at the end of the school year. I am going to warn you now...this is going to be a long post.....so either prepare to read, or give up now! I am keeping this blog as a sort of journal, so it might be slightly boring as I give the details of our lives. On the 16th, Kaden had a practice for his clogging recital. It said on the note that it was going to be a dress rehearsal, so I told him to put on his black pants, shirt, tie, etc. We got there and most of the students were wearing their normal clothes, so Kaden had a melt down and missed practicing his first number. The drama of being an almost teenager and thinking you always need to fit in! The 17th I attended a retirement dinner in Brigham City for a teacher next door to me, Terri Denney. On the 18th, Jayson, Kassi, and my mom and dad joined Greg, Tyson, and I as we went to watch the dance revue. Kaden is an AMAZING clogger! I had told everyone how well he had done at the Lagoon competition, but I don't think anyone believed how awesome he actually is!

On the 19th I had my reading endorsement class. We spent that weekend in Salt Lake with Tyson playing ball. He hit two more home runs. He is getting quite the collection of home run balls. The night of the 23rd, I took Tyson to his game in Salt Lake and Kaden and Greg attended a BBQ for the graduating seniors in our ward at the bishop's house. Then, on the 24th, was the night Greg had been waiting for. He had bought U-2 tickets a year ago, but the concert had been canceled because of health reasons. They had finally rescheduled after a year. Greg and I left a few minutes after 4 and traveled to Salt Lake. We stopped and had dinner and then rode Trax up to the concert. We had to wait for a couple of trains to come by before we could SQUEEZE onto one.

The set was incredible. The music was loud, but very fun. I think it was worth going just to see the special effects. We left a little early so that we could get home a little after midnight. We had gotten a babysitter that needed to be home (school night), and it was a school night for me too. The 25th was Kaden's band concert. He did such a great job. He plays the drums, and has such great rhythm. After the band concert, Greg took Kaden and Tyson with him to Pack Meeting while I ran over to the school to host a retirement party for Terri Denney. On the 26th, we loaded up the car and headed to Pocatello. We were going to Las Vegas for the Memorial Day weekend, and Kaden didn't really want to go to another ball tournament, so he went to spend the weekend with my parents. It was fun to get to see Ryan, Kristen, Carter, and Kamdyn, and my folks. The 27th, we got up, packed, and cleaned up the house a little and headed to Vegas. The Sidewinders won their first two games, then tied the next one. They won the next game. They got to play on Monday morning, but lost that game, which gave them a tie for 5th place.

While we were in Vegas, one of Tyson's team-mates hit a grand slam. His parents decided to celebrate by taking anyone who wanted to go on the zip line at Fremont Street. That was pretty fun! Greg, Tyson, and I all went.

Saturday, Ryan decided to take Kaden squirrel hunting. I guess he shot a couple. Gross! Thanks for corrupting your brother Ryan! As they were getting ready to leave, the people who owned the land let Kaden brand a calf. He was pretty excited about that.

Ryan was kind enough to drive Kaden home on Monday evening. That was really nice not having to drive to Pocatello after driving home from Las Vegas. We missed Kaden on our trip, but I think everyone had fun. Today was back to work. Only 2 more days until the end of the school year! I am frantically trying to get everything ready for summer break. I have a great class this year, and I am really going to miss them.

Can I just tell you I think it is pretty funny that Kaden has branded a calf and it's my uncle and I NEVER have! I think I will leave it that way too, but way to go Kaden, I think its pretty amazing.
