Sunday in Sunbeams

I absolutely love teaching Sunbeams. Every week one of them says something that totally cracks me up! This last Sunday our lesson was on different callings people have in our ward. At the end of the lesson, our class wrote thank-you notes to the bishop. After class we went and found Bishop Petersen. The first little girl gave her card to him. She smiled and was really sweet. She beamed when he told her how special the picture she had drawn was to him. She gave him a hug. The next little girl was a little more talkative. She described what all her drawings in her card were to him. She told him she loved him and gave him a hug. Then a little boy in our class handed the bishop his note. He had a really interesting drawing and I was not sure what it was. The bishop asked him to explain his drawing. He proudly pointed to one side of the picture and showed him it was the bishop's mouth. Then he pointed to the other side of the picture and told that bishop that was his nose with a pimple on it. Then he showed him that he had his tongue sticking out. And then ended by saying, "And that line is lightning that is hitting you!" And on that note.....we ended our special time with the bishop! Sorry.....but he is soooo funny!
