On Christmas afternoon we had all the family over for our annual gift exchange and party. I started a little bit early by giving Makenzie her baby doll we bought her. The face glows and she plays music. As you can tell, she was a hit! Here is our cute daughter-in-law Kristen opening some of her gifts. Ryan got new goggles to use when snow boarding (or else he is just ultra-cool....you be the judge!). I got lots of really thoughtful gifts from my cute kids. Here I am looking at a book of pictures of Carter and Kamdyn. This gift was one of the definite hits of the evening! The guys have always had jokes about how "Meat is Man Fuel" and they joke about someday making meatsicles! Well, this year Jayson and Kassi actually made meatsicles and gave them to Ryan, Dave and Greg. It was hilarious! They even all tried a taste! They had a BBQ Beefsicle, a Steaksicle, and a *Bonus Flavor* Chilisicle. We laughed so hard we almost cried! The steaksicle was white because of all the fat that was frozen in it....Yum! Yum....chilisicle! I am not sure what the significance of the swim hat was.....but that was part of Dave's gift from Kassi....and he sure seems to be enjoying it! Check out Carter's new Bat Man cape and mask. Kris made them for him. When Carter opened the cape he yelled out, "Holy Guacomole!" It was hilarious! Here is cute Kamdyn checking out her present from Great Grandpa and Grandma Kolsen. Ryan and Kamdyn checking out the loot! Carter got a new baseball glove from us. He seemed to really like it! Madison got a new tea set from Grandma ...... and Madison and Carter each got a garbage truck from Grandpa! The cute Archer family.... Jayson and his new Cubs hat and fishing vest he got for Christmas.... My cute parents are in the background.....I wish we would have gotten some better pictures of them! Kassi and her new Cub earrings. We sure do love our family. We have so much fun when we all get together. Jayson was in charge of entertainment again.....he added a new game this year called....."Are you Smarter than a Madsonator?!" It was so fun. He had questions that were Maddie and Carter level, and then Tyson and Kaden levels.....and then the kids got to be the experts to help us answer them. It was really fun!

So looking at these pics makes me wonder if we all think we have assigned seats at your house or something because Ry and I were in front of and right next to the fireplace last Christmas too. Or maybe the two of us are just OCD, could be that too.
