We were discussing the fact that we have really let some of our traditions die out for the holidays with the older kids growing up.....so Greg decided we should start a new Christmas Eve tradition. Greg's dad used to love the movie "A Christmas Story". We would go to his house around Christmas and listen to him chuckle throughout the entire movie. Well, Greg loves the movie now too. So, he decided we should go out to eat on Christmas Eve to a Chinese restaurant (in tribute to the movie) and then come home and watch the movie as a family. I don't think the kids got the full significance of the dinner until we came home and watched the show.....but then they thought it was pretty funny. It was kind of a coincidence that Tyson had actually bought Greg the DVD of the movie, and Kaden had bought him a mug from the show.....it all worked out fabulously!

Ok I totally put part of that last comment on the wrong post. But anyway, I love the new tradition. We need to work on more here, especially since I think our days of going to a movie on Christmas are over for awhile.
