Braces

Here is the before smile...... Here is the after smile! This morning, Kaden went to the orthodontist and got braces! Greg was going to take him, but realized the day before that he had meetings at the state capitol today with some legislators (fun!....not!). So, I took the morning off and took him in. He was really nervous and shaking...until they handed him a mirror! He held a hand mirror the whole time they put the braces on, and that seemed to really relax him. I guess that just goes to show that the unknown is more scary than the known. He also found out this past week that he got the lead in the school play that is coming up in April. They are putting on the play about the princess and the pea...and he gets to be the handsome prince! Great job Kaden! This morning at 8:00 (Kaden's appointment to get braces was at 8:30, and their school starts at 8:20), Tyson informs me that he needs a Valentine box, and he needs it today. I told him I was sure that he wouldn't need it until tomorrow, but he was convinced that he needed it today or his teacher would not think he was prepared. I told him we didn't have time, and he told me I could bring it to him this afternoon.....well, after Kaden's appointment I was running to Brigham City to get my driver's license renewed (a whole other story about that and the new requirements to do that this year...and the lines....and the wait time!)...and then I was going back to work for the afternoon. Well....that made him even more determined that he needed a box this morning. This is what we came up with....not my most creative work...but I guess for 10 minutes and no time to brainstorm or shop for items....it is not too bad!
