Fun Day in SLC with Jay and Kassi

Jayson is coaching a 16U baseball team this summer. Last weekend they had games in Salt Lake City, so we drove down to hang out with them. I told Jayson he had to be the entertainment director. He got on the internet and found Gilgal Gardens. It said that it was the best kept secret in SLC. It must be true, because I had never heard of it, and the man who designed and began the garden died in the 1960's. Here is Tyson posing with one of the statues in the garden (can you tell it is Brigham Young?). Here are three of the handsome men in my life! Here are Jayson and Kassi posing with the two boys in the garden. It was an interesting place to visit. After the garden, we went and walked around Trolley Square. We decided to eat at the Rodizio Grill. The last time we ate at this Brazillian restaurant was right before Jayson went on his mission there. At that time, Jayson wouldn't hardly eat anything but the green salad, and we were so mad we had paid so much money for him to only eat that. We had two or three kinds of steak, pork, a couple of kinds of chicken, turkey wrapped in bacon, pot roast, grilled pineapple (one of our all-time favorites), and then the waiters brought around chicken hearts. The first time by, we all passed. But later on during the meal, Jayson and the two boys thought they would be adventuresome and try them out. There was no way I was going to join them in tasting them though! Here is Tyson trying them. He actually liked them, but only ate one. Kaden took a bite, but didn't swallow! Here are the three posers! Jayson also said they were good, but he had to quickly wash it down with a bite of chocolate cake! He said the thought of what he had eaten was a bit too much to handle! After lunch, we went back to Jay and Kassi's hotel and they all swam. They played sharks and minnows (Jay kept getting out of the pool during the game......but he only rolled, he didn't walk....he would flap around like a fish and get back in the pool.), they had a contest to see who could make the biggest splash when jumping in the pool, and surprisingly enough, Kassi generally won the contests! Tyson's favorite game was riding Jayson like a bucking bull. Jay would lie down on the bottom fo the pool and Ty would get on his back. Jay would hold his breath, and then finally come up bucking and knock Tyson off. It was a really fun day. Afterwards we headed home and met up with some friends in Logan to watch the fireworks. It was a great day!

We LOVE Rodizio Grill. In fact we ate there when we went away for our anniversary. But we didn't get chicken hearts...we did eat them growing up! It looks like you are having a FUN summer.
