There were tons of people there. The Saturday before, they said they had 21,000 visitors, and I bet they had that many this day also. I had gotten to usher on Monday night and I had been looking forward to getting to see my family go through. They started us in a line in the parking garage. They had smaller rooms divided in the garage where they showed a short video about temples. You then got in a line to get foot covers to wear over your shoes. Kami was not happy about those! I loved going through and seeing all of the beautiful work that went into the temple. There was such a feeling of peace there.
One of the first things we saw was the baptismal font. The twelve oxen holding up the font representing the twelve tribes of Israel are actually bronze. Kamdyn loved seeing the font, but as we got around the front of it and saw the steps leading down, she said she wanted to go and find her swimming suit. Ryan told me later that Carter made a move at his shoes because he wanted to dip his feet inside. As we were walking, we came upon a gorgeous painting I had never seen before of Mary and Joseph. Mary was riding a donkey. There was a large flock of sheep in the painting with a child off to the left. Ryan told Carter he should tell Kami who was in the painting. I wasn't sure he would know. He is only six after all. Before he could tell her, Kami let us know she knew that it was Mary. So much for my thinking they wouldn't know. The three-year-old knew for heaven's sake! Smart grandchildren I have with good parents who teach them.
After touring the temple, we came out where there was this mosaic. Here are Jayson and Kassi.

As we left the temple we decided to go out front and take a couple of pictures. It was pouring outside, so we didn't take much time for posing and getting all of the temple in the shots.
