For Kaden's birthday, Jayson and Kassi bought him a new fishing pole. He has been wanting one for a long time. Ryan, Kristen, and their kids bought him some fishing accessories and a cup of worms (which they made him open before he opened the other presents). After Tyson's game on Saturday in Ogden, we took the new pole and worms to the fish hatchery in North Ogden. As you can see in this picture, Kaden loved catching the fish, but wanted no part in taking them off the hook or of holding up his catch.

Jayson is holding one of Tyson's catches. Tyson wasn't too sure about the fish or worms either, but by the end of the day was doing pretty good grabbing them.

Here is Carter catching a fish. He loved fishing! He thought it was great. Makenzie is just relaxing and watching the action.

Maddie was OK with grabbing the fish and all. The only part she had a hard part with was when we were talking about my cooking the fish for Sunday dinner. She thought we should only eat the snack kind of fish, not the real fish (she likes Swedish fish and the goldfish crackers).

Here is a picture of most of the mighty fishermen. We had a lot of fun, and I was really glad we had the option of having the workers fillet the fish for us. No gutting, no bones.....life is good!

Glad you had such a fun weekend with your kids. I'm with Maddie, I think that I too would stick with the swedish fish and the gold fish crackers.
That was really fun! Too bad I didn't like to eat the fish, huh?! Dave's brother and sister were sure happy for the leftovers though, they said to tell you thanks!
