The boys both came back from trek with nothing but good to say. They LOVED it! I was so surprised. It was such a hot week, and I had worried how they were handling the heat and all of the hills. We were told seven different individuals had to be taken to the hospital for IV's due to dehydration. But, the boys both had awesome families on trek, who made sure they drank lots of fluids and had a great experience. The only argument i have heard out of the two of them is who had the best family on trek...they both think they had the best. Kaden had the Thornleys and Tyson had the Eliasons for parents on the trek. Kaden said he learned not to trust adults on trek. The stake people kept telling them that things were just a little further...no hills....etc...and they lied! Tyson won the stake leg wrestling and the stake stick pull competitions. But, our young women's leader, Cami White, beat Tyson leg wrestling. He said she was tough. They both had a great time, and loved the bonding experiences with the ward. I am so thankful for such awesome leaders who help youth build their testimonies.
