Car Crash

Kaden and I were headed out to the Arby's last night (June 23rd) to get a sandwich (Greg and Tyson were at a ball game in Salt Lake).  Kaden was stopped in the turn lane facing south waiting to turn east.  A couple of cars passed us and then a black vehicle was coming.  Kaden yelled out, "Mom, they are going to hit us."  The black vehicle was drifting over to hit us head-on.  Kaden looked to the right, and started to hit the gas to try and avoid the impact.  (He saved us from being hit head-on.)  The vehicle hit his side mirror that sent it into his driver's side window smashing it- glass all over the car, and then hit the back part of our car.  It sent us flying, but Kaden continued to steer and hit the brakes, keeping us still in the turn lane.  Pretty great driving for a permit-holder!  We had to go and get a rental today.  We heard back from our insurance that the lady is trying to claim we turned in front of her.  A lady had stopped to see if we were ok after the accident.  She left a statement saying she saw exactly what we said we saw. The driver of the other vehicle is saying we turned in front of her- which is there is no way that happened.  If we had turned in front of her, the passenger side of our car would have been hit, not the back of our driver's side!  Oh well- I guess the insurance can work out all of the details!
