Patsy Kaye Christiansen Peterson

Patsy Kaye Christiansen was born in Downey, ID., August 4, 1938, to Orion Leon and Ruth Irene Evans Christiansen. She has a brother Dee, and sisters Lois, Sherry and Lynn.  In 1955 she married Dale Willie from Malad, ID.  Together they had two children, Susan and Kelly.

After divorcing, she moved to Boise, ID., where she met Richard Madson.
Kaye and Dick were married in 1960 and they had two children together, Greg and Eric.

Kaye loved the piano.  Her mother played, and she played as well.
She was a very talented artist, and painted many works of art.

This picture was taken a few years ago at Christmastime.

Kaye had been moved to a nursing home about a year ago, because she was suffering from dementia symptoms.  She did better while living there and being taken care of so well.  About a week before she passed away, we found out she had bone cancer.  Her kidneys and other organs started shutting down, so she was moved to the hospital.  While there, it was discovered she had a living will, which prohibited the doctors from giving her IV's.  She passed a way a couple of days later, in the early morning hours of February 14, 2014.

My husband was a great son to his parents.

While at the hospital, Kaden wanted to go and play the piano one last time for Grandma Kaye.  She loved when he would go to the care center and play for her.  Tyson also wrote her a touching poem that he had Greg read to her.  At the funeral, Kristen sang, Greg conducted, Kaden played a musical number, Ryan gave the opening prayer, Tyson read his poem, and the men were pall bearers, and the grandsons were honorary pall bearers.
