Kaden's Baby- and He passed Driver's Ed!
Kaden is taking the Teen Living class at the middle school this year. As part of the class, they have to take home a baby for a night. The student wears a computerized bracelet, that when they make contact with the baby with it, it recognizes them. They have to figure out why the baby is crying and take care of it. If it is hungry, you have to hold the bottle up to its mouth until it coos (about ten minutes). If it needs its diaper changed, you have to change the diaper, sometimes it needs rocked or burped. We started off when I got home going to the bank to deposit the boys' lamb checks. We needed to set Tyson up with a new account because of a mix-up we had. While setting up the account, the baby started to cry. Kaden tried rocking it, but it didn't work. He wanted to leave right then. We couldn't because we were in the middle of setting up Tyson's account. The baby started really crying loudly. Kaden went out of the bank and was really upset because he had forgotten the diaper bag. The doll keeps track if you don't take care of it, and it effects your grade. Anyway, I know he was frustrated, but I must admit, I found it kind of funny! This month Kaden has been taking driver's ed. He has had to be at the school every morning at 6:30 a.m. I am not going to miss having to be out the door by 6:15. He was so excited when he came home today because he passed the class. I knew he would...he is really a pretty good driver!
